Allegro Rhythmic Gymnastics was awarded "Club of the Year 2018 from the Cape Town Gymnastics Association" and is one of Cape Towns' largest and most successful Rhythmic Gymnastics club.

The Allegro team is unique for its excellence in a combination Rhythmic Gymnastics, Ballet technique, Contemporary dynamics and apparatus handling - all packaged together to provide students with the highest quality training and emotional support to nurture the best Gymnast and /or dancer within each child.

We start developmental classes for toddlers from the age of 3.  We develop motor skills such as coordination, balance, running, hopping, jumping, skipping, and include fine motor skills with rhythmic apparatus.  These lessons are so valuable for early childhood development and their growth.

​

Gymnasts start competing at the age of 6 or 7, these competitions are competitive and or friendly.  There are local club competitions, Provincial competitions and National Championships.  Gymnasts receive their provincial colours if they are selected for National Championships.

Class Options For New Gymnasts

• Pre School 4 – 6 years — Pre level 1 and 2

• All Gr 1 and 2 new gymnast – Level 1

• Gr. 3 up new gymnast will be assessed according to their ability.
